Forged Railroad Axles

MWL Brasil manufactures railroad axles, standard or customized, for locomotives, passenger and freight cars. The raw form of manufactured axles is conceived while undergoing the forging process.

Soon afterwards, other stages of the process allow for the final product to reach the quality assured by MWL.

At the end of the production process, axles are machined and finished at a CNC lathe, allowing the highest levels of quality and machining precision. And, similarly to the wheel manufacturing process, axles also undergo a final inspection, ranging from dimensional analysis, magnetic particle analysis, and ultrasonic test.
